Buck Cabins is located at the southeast side of Obakamiga Lake, and is the most rugged and secluded of all our resorts. This resort location lies on a peninsula, with shorelines on both the east and west sides of the peninsula.
Cabins
Our cabins face both east and west, so you can enjoy both early morning sunrises and peaceful evening sunsets. Each cabin features its own private dock, as well as a fire pit for friendly gatherings around the bonfire. All cabins are fully furnished with three piece bathrooms and hot and cold running water.
Fridge, propane stove and gas barbecues are found in all cabins, plus all cooking and serving dishes and utensils. And of course, each cabin is hooked up with electric lights and 24-hour electricity.
A unique feature of our cabins is that each is known by its own special cabin name. Each cabin is unique, and these names refer to the special qualities of the cabins, such as Bayview, Sunrise and Northern Lights. When making your reservation, ask about the availability of each cabin.

Boats & Equipment
Buck Cabins features a fleet of dependable aluminum boats and reliable outboard motors. Guests are outfitted with a 14 & 16 foot aluminum boat and a powerful 15 HP Yamaha four-stroke outboard. These boats are very spacious with plenty of room for every 2 guests, and our four-stroke outboards run exceptionally quiet and nearly smoke free, perfect for trolling, or cruising full speed.
Each boat is equipped with swivel seats, anchor, landing net, paddles, bait bucket and safety kit. All your fuel is also supplied. Live bait is available.

All guests are also treated to a special shore lunch hosted by the staff and owners of PK Resorts. We invite all guests to join us at Loon Island on Obakamiga Lake, for a delicious shore lunch of freshly cooked fish with all the traditional sides.
Buck Cabins also has a large, screened-in fish cleaning facility where all guests can clean, wash, wrap, and freeze any fish they wish to bring home.
Buck Cabins is maintained by a friendly and courteous staff of camp managers, who are on hand at all times. Should you need any assistance with your boat and motor, your cabin, fishing advice, or anything else, they'll be happy to help.
